Hot Diggity's 4th Annual “Dogs Allowed”
Pooches and their people invited to a day of canine fun on Sunday, September 18th
to support the Mashpee Dog Park
Mashpee, Mass. (September 5, 2011) – Among the sweetest phrases a dog can hear? Dinner time and Dogs Allowed, of course! Well, canines from the Cape and beyond are allowed and encouraged to frolic and play at Hot Diggity's 4th annual “Dogs Allowed” event on Sunday, September 18 from 11 AM – 3 PM in Mashpee Commons.
Proceeds from this year’s event will go towards building a new Mashpee Dog Park. The 1.5 acre park will be located on Ashumet Rd behind Heritage Park on Route 130. The town has approved phased building of the park, and The Mashpee Dog Park Committee aims to raise an additional $15,000 to build phase one of the park through various fundraisers and through online donations at www.mashpeedogpark.com.
Hot Diggity's “Dogs Allowed” features a day of activities, vendors and fun for both people and pups. Activities include an obedience demo, contests including owner/dog look-a-like, fastest tail wag, loudest bark and bobbing for weenies, a Pawject Runway fashion show, a police K9 demonstration, a blessing of the animals and the ever popular retrieving race to find the Cape's fastest canine. An agility try-it station, dog massages, the opportunity for dogs to make their own art work, a kids craft table, make your own pawprint ornaments, tug toys and dog bandanas, professional photographs of your pup sitting on a tractor complete with a cowboy hat, tons of free samples and giveaways, goodie bags to the first 300 dogs, a live DJ, a huge raffle, food vendors, doggie pools and more round out the day.
A full schedule of the day’s events can be viewed at www.facebook.com/hotdigs.
Tickets for the event are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Dogs are free! Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to make a full day of it. The event will be held on the Village Green on Steeple Street in Mashpee Commons.
Dogs Allowed is sponsored by Hot Diggity in Mashpee Commons.

We are asked daily what we feed our dogs. I don't know if it is because they look amazing and super healthy or if it is because their coat shines or because their teeth sparkle like a cartoon mouth. For whatever the reason, when we are asked why we feed what we do, we have many answers that are too long for a quick response.
On Wednesday July 13th at 7pm, we will be hosting a seminar of sorts on dog food. There are many misnomers out there about what is a good food and what is a bad food. We want to help dispel some of the myths that are out there. We will touch upon what ingredients to look for in your dog's food, what ingredients to avoid, the top food allergens, the differences between raw and dry and more.
We are not nutritionists, nor are we scientists or veterinarians. What we are, is a group of dog owners and dog lovers who go above and beyond to search for the healthiest products for our dogs. We have done research, we read wellness journals and blogs, we belong to newsgroups and we watch videos by vets who do invest their time researching dog food wellness.
We will share with you what we feed our dogs, why we choose the food we do, and the results we have seen from doing so. We will answer questions and do our best to provide you will all the information you could possibly need about dog nutrition. If there are questions we don't know the answers to, we will do our best to find them.
So we hope you will join us as we discuss the best possible way to get your dog to his optimal health!
We will be handing our free samples of all our Hot Diggity approved food as well as handing out coupons for all the food we carry.
This is a great opportunity to learn about what you are feeding your dog, and if it is not the best for your pup, a great time to make the switch!

We had an exciting morning in Dedham at Fox 25. We gave Boston proper a little taste of what our grand Doggie Easter Egg Hunt is like! The dogs and children were very well behaved and happy as clams.
We hope to see many faces at our 4th (? or is it 5th?) annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday, April 23rd at 11am on the village green in Mashpee Commons. Don't forget to bring your Easter Baskets!
